For almost two years, my Superclean Web Design business has specialized in creating insanely robust AND totally customizable websites with Drupal, the open-source CMS platform.

I still get some purely identity/design projects but putting together empowerment tools for "boutique" businesses w/ specific needs (without the clutter of what they DON'T need) has proven to be a good approach for Superclean. The latest Superclean site is for MCC Water, a systems integrator in the Bay Area. Their office has keys to their website to update the content and change the pictures and the navigation is totally dynamic.  read more »

One thing about being a web designer is this: I have a very transparent job. But what you don't see is this: my clients for these sites are totally empowered to update, edit, and expand their websites with a content management system (Custom CMS) set up especially for them!

These two sites, along w/ other recent ones like Bay Area Flooring Superstore and gfire, are built on the Drupal platform which, if I'm not mistaken, is the most powerful CMS on the planet. Drupal is a shining example of the benefits from open source development.

Bay Area Flooring SuperstoreSuperclean just launched this new site for BayAreaFlooringSuperstore.com in record time. The site is a Custom CMS and totally empowers the client to add and update their news, picture galleries, and most importantly... the part of the site with different varieties and species of hardwoods.

Barnes has a new recording available called Barnyard Electronics. We also have a new video at his site:

gfire is a singer/songwriter/dj based in Austin, Texas and has a 3 1/2 octave voice!! She also is known for her voice and piano lessons. We finished the site just in time for her appearance at SXSW. Check her out and listen to her music... it's free!
